Bodie!!!
You have been so crazy lately! So emotional. One minute you're happy, one minute you're crying. Throwing toys, food, fits...anything that can be thrown. Then, you laugh! Oh, and that laugh, I would love to hear that laugh constantly! We are realizing we need to be right on top of you and your behavior as you figure out the world as a two year old. It's hard with Noel and Daphne and all of the other responsibilities that I have. But in order for you to grow up polite and with self control, we need to be on top of it. Right there to help you figure out your feelings.
You have been very tired too. And the crazy behavior seems to go right along with when you are tired. So, naps right at 12:30, bedtime at 7 or 7:30.
I took Noel and you to ice skate yesterday morning. You were very scared. You told me, once you got your skates on, "Mommy! Hey! This is BERRY dangerous!" Everyone in the little skate renting building got a big kick out of you. But the skates didn't stay on your little feet for long. We had to go back inside and take them off. After awhile you were ready to head back out. In your boots, not skates. But then you loved how slippery the ice was. And you did a really good job standing up once you fell down.
Skiing today for Noel. We'll see what you want to do once you wake up from your much needed nap!
I love you,
Mommy

Reading Mishap
Oh Bodie,
One of my favorite things to do with you is put you to bed. We read a few books and then sing three songs. "You are my Sunshine", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", and "ABCs". For some reason, you have been fighting them for the last couple of weeks. Ever since we've gotten your Big Boy Bed all set up. We are slowly getting back into reading. But it's a wrestling match to get you to sit on my lap. Once you're there, we read. But singing.... I don't know if it's because of your ears, but you don't let me. I loved it when you could start to sing along, which is what you have been doing since moving up north. If not before. I know we'll just have to work through a few things. There has been alot of changes very quickly. It takes time to adjust. You now wear underwear, we have moved, you have a big boy bed, sissy is in school, and there is another baby here a few times a week. I get it. But when we have our time I really want to make it great. I can't wait to sing to you again.
Love you,
Mommy

Out in the Snow
Hey Bodie,
I was finally able to get you outside for more than a few minutes. We had so much fun. Noel taught you how to make snow angels. Then you made me pull you all over the yard in the sled. Then it was a fight to get you back inside.
Today was a wonderful day. Mommy spent all of her time with you. We played with your race cars and we played Lucky Ducks and Candy Land Gingerbread Game. You couldn't play for too long, but you were able to play them. And you knew what you were doing! But no nap! AHHHH! We are having a nap issue with you lately. But Noel went through it and you have too. You will be back to your regular schedule soon enough.
Love you,
Mommy

First Letter
Dear Bodie,
Yesterday morning you had your ear tubes put in. I was sure I was going to be a wreck. When they wheeled you away and into the operating room I was just waiting to break down. I barely made it into the waiting room before they told me you were all done. I didn't even get to open my magazine!
Oh gosh! Was I so happy when you came back to the post-op area! My little buddy looking for his mommy! We hugged for a moment but then you were MAD! It was from the anesthesia. They gave you juice, without a lid. Then when I wouldn't let you take the juice with us you were even more mad! We stopped at McDonalds for a juice box. You were happy for about 10 seconds. Then you were mad because I didn't get fries. (It was 8 in the morning- they didn't have any fries.) But by the time we turned on our street you were happy again. Not able to wait to see daddy and Sissy!
I was so proud of you when you were rolled away and didn't get upset and cry for mommy. (We'll give the drugs the credit for that.) And yesterday you were so great. Didn't even act like you were in any pain. But they poked holes in your ear drums! It had to hurt at least a bit.
Love,
mommy
